It tells your website what to do, and how to do it. along with javascript, it is essentially what makes your website do what it does.

What software do we use to implement all this fantastic technology?

In almost all cases, every line of code we write is hand written, without the aid of auto complete or assistance such as Dreamweaver. However we do use some great pieces of software to help us code faster, more efficiently and deploy our websites without hiccups.

FTP Application: Transmit 4

This little piece of software, developed by Panic! is fantastic. It is hands down the best ftp application on the entire planet. Nothing competes with its features, flexibility and even design. They have finally made an ftp program that doesnt just perform well, it looksgreat while doing it. Do yourself a favour, purchase this app and ftp with a smile on your face, unless of course you use a PC, in which case your out of luck, as Transmit is Mac only.
